Symptoms
The following error occurs during setup initialization:
Error installing Ikernel.exe, access is denied.

Cause
If you are getting an error with installing Ikernel.exe, a denial of access, or any other initialization error, you may not have sufficient COM permissions on your machine.

Resolution
Windows 2000 and earlier

Select Start > Run.

Type DCOMcnfg.exe. This launches the Distributed COM Configuration Properties dialog box.

Click the Default Security tab.

Click the Edit Default button in the Default Access Permissions section.

Make sure you, as the user, have Allow Access next to your name.

If you do not have Allow Access next to your name, either modify an existing profile or create a new one that has the necessary permissions.

Apply all the changes and try to run your installation.
Windows XP/Windows 2003 Server

Select Start > Run.

Type dcomcnfg. Click No for any warning screens that appear. This launches the Component Services dialog.

Double-click Component Services.

Double-click Computers. My Computer will be listed in the right pane.

Right-click My Computer and select Properties. The My Computer Properties dialog opens.

Select the Default COM Security tab.

In the Access Permissions section, click Edit Default. The Access dialog opens.

Make sure you, as the user, or System is listed and the Access Permission check box is selected.

If you or System do not have Allow Access next to your name, select the Access Permission check box or create a new profile with the necessary permissions.

Click Add. The Select Users or Groups dialog opens.

In the Select this object type field, make sure that at least Users is entered. If not, click Object Types and select Users.

In the From this location field, make sure your computer name is entered. If it is not, click Locations and select your computer.

In the Enter objects name to select field, type a new object. Click OK.

In the Access dialog, select the new object.

Select the Allow Access check box.

Click OK twice.

Close the Component Services dialog.

Run your installation again.

在通入对话, 选择新对象。

选择 允许通入 复选框。

点击 好 两次。

结束 组分服务 对话。

再管理您的设施。
