Opera 为来自挪威的一个极为出色的浏览器, 具有速度快、节省系统资源、订制能力强、安全性高以及体积小等特点, 目前已经是最受欢迎的浏览器之一。Opera 9.0 正式版兼容目前所有网页标准,全新设计的界面（你甚至可以选择单/多窗口浏览模式, 这大大方便了习惯于 IE 老式窗口模式的用户）, 内置搜索引擎向导以及下载管理软件, 还有 ICQ 客户端（对于国外用户来说, 这可是非常诱人的特性）, 其他还包括升级过的邮件/新闻阅读器、打印预览以及内容详尽的网址书签收集库等更多出色新功能。
新版本修改了上一版本的一些bug, 现在进入 ycah 之类的虚拟域名不会有 %20 的干扰了! 加强了对 Java 新版本的支持。提供了更大稳定性和一些改善的更新。增加了电子邮件的收发功能, 转用书签的概念 (同时处理原来的收藏夹加上电子邮件和联系栏部分)。对 Cookie 的处理加强。
